Do you fancy outdoor adventures to exotic places? Perhaps weaving your way through the exciting realm of tropical jungle in Nicaragua or South East Asia. Well if it really is your cup of tea, then our only advice is for you to research well on the possible hazards that may befall you, and protect yourself accordingly. Get immunised, invest on medicines and insect lotion, and also, purchase a good travel insurance package that will cover you for medical mishaps and emergency situations! Insects are often overlooked as a danger to the survivor. A few other insects are venomous enough to kill, but often the greatest danger is the transmission of disease. Here are just some of the dangerous ones :
1. Scorpion
Scorpions sting with their tails, causing local pain, swelling, possible incapacitation, and death.
2. Tarantula
Large, black, scary and hairy, Tarantula has venomous fangs at its disposal that inflict painful and sometimes even lethal bites.
3. Bees
Stepping on a beehive can be extremely dangerous, as hordes of angry bees will swarm around you and chase you wherever you try to escape to. Their mission? Trying to kill you. And we mean this seriously. Run to the nearest help if you have offended a colony!
4. Centipede
Multijoined body to 30 centimeters long it has dull orange to brown in colour with black point eyes at the base of the antenna. There are 2,800 species worldwide. Centipede may not be as dangerous as other insects on the list, but getting a bite can be extremely painful, thus paralysing you and ruining your travel!
